How great does it feel to NOT follow the toxic crowd?

If your future self could send you one sentence, what do you hope it would say?

So let’s put this in context. I’ve spent quite a bit of my life living up to the world’s majority. It gave me nothing but anxiety, confusion and frustration.

I’ve looked for validation and love in places that unhealthy love lives.

I’ve cared to much of others thoughts and opinions of how my live should be lived out. Whilst they weren’t in position to guide. They themselves needed guiding.

I’ve also been the person to feel the need to give unasked for advice because I thought it’s what people do when your friends and family. Not true.

You see the crowd has a lot to say if we don’t conform to their narratives. They don’t just give you advise they expect you to follow it!

If you don’t follow it and make a mistake they’re waiting to say I told you so.

When I let go of the critics, it gave me the peace I needed and a deep time of recovery. If you can’t talk to a family or friend openly without them giving their harsh opinion and judgment that’s not a two way relationship.

A healthy relationship is a two way thing. It’s not rude, demanding , controlling, condemning, judgemental.

Being free from this kind of unhealthy bond feels like being in a beautiful field with thriving greenery and breathing in the fresh air without any surrounding pollution.

It certainly feels great to not follow the crowd and more time like this has been like pressing a reset button.

Even not conforming to one sentence as the post suggests 😅

If you are following the toxic crowd how would your life look to bring into balance a more peaceful you?
