How do you write what people actually want to read?
Most authors, writers and bloggers tend to write what they have experienced or know.
I tend to stay in my lane when it comes to writing and only talk about things I have experienced, have done or have applied to my own life.
I like to operate from a place of honesty and integrity. Also being open about my struggles and wins equally.
For me it’s about truth and love. I don’t look for millions of followers or likes, my mission is to inspire and help change peoples lives.
I am in it for the long haul so if something I write changes someones life or if it changes millions for me both brings me joy.
It’s a hard question how to write what people want to read because most other writers, that’s kept me reading, is because it resonates or gives me something new I’ve never heard before that strikes a interest in me.
When I’ve written something it’s from the heart. I hope it comes across in my words.
There’s different ways of presenting for instance on WordPress in comparison to Instagram, with WordPress you can go into depth and explain more. With Instragram it has to be condensed and to the point in a few words. They’re often different audiences.
Instagram is a quick read, so capturing from the first two seconds. Whereas WordPress people are more willing to read for longer lengths of time and open to taking in more information.
So I would say-
• Stay in your lane and stick to what you know.
• Genuinely love or be passionate about what talking about.
• Know your audience.
• Know your social platform.
• Be in it for long haul it may take some time.
